Bang Bai Mai subdistrict, or ‘Nai Bang’ as it is more commonly known by the locals, this verdant area is home to a natural network of hundreds of small canals which eventually meet the Tapi river. The small but long-standing community enjoys a simple, rural lifestyle in the shady glades beside the waterways and the locals have recently begun operating boat trips for visitors to enjoy the local flora and fauna, and float through the impressive tunnel of trees. Visitors are also able to learn the local wisdom and see how natural products like orange juice and honey are made in the community. There’s also a floating a market here where local products are available for tourists to sample and purchase on Sunday.
