Khao Nang Phanthurat Forest Park features a striking and beautiful limestone mountain range that is clearly visible from the main road. The range extends in a north–south direction and resembles the reclining figure of the giantess Phanthurat. The southern part of the mountain is likened to an urn. The park also contains natural formations related to the Sangthong folktale, adding charm and uniqueness to the area. Visitors can begin their trip at the Visitor Center, which displays photos and information about Khao Nang Phanthurat, including the naming of different parts of the mountain inspired by the Sangthong literature. Afterward, visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk in the shaded garden area—an ideal spot for relaxation in nature. For those interested in the story of Phra Sang, there is a model pond believed to represent the “Golden Pond” where he once bathed, along with other significant viewpoints connected to the legend, such as Nang Phanthurat’s Mirror and Nang Phanthurat’s Crematorium. Although there are no lodges available, visitors who wish to stay overnight may bring their own tents and request permission from the staff. Within the area, Phanthurat Café is available to welcome tourists. There is also a Visitor Center and a camping area perfect for camping enthusiasts. These features make Khao Nang Phanthurat Forest Park a destination that harmoniously blends nature, literature, and tranquility. Activities in the forest park are suitable for families, groups, and educational visits, focusing on learning about nature, developing social and environmental responsibility, and understanding the diversity of forest and wildlife resources in the area.
