When you walking through the ancient door in Chak Ngeaw. The way you feel just like a movie. Chak Ngeaw is Chaozhou Chinese community who immigrated over a hundred years ago. They believe that the word “Chak Ngeaw” was contracted from the original name of “Nong Cha Ngao”. The evidence was founded in Journey to Muang Klaeng in 1807. Before we have Sukhumvit road, Chak Ngeaw is a civilized commercial district. Pattaya residents no one know this community. Until Sukhumvit road was built, Pattaya become civilized. In 2015 Chak Ngeaw has been bought back to life because they made Pattaya to a special municipal area. Chak Ngeaw become the place of lifestyle and cultural tourism which represent their unique culture and lifestyle such as hotel, movie theatre, Jao Mae Tubtim Shrine and Chinese style building.
