The Center for Science Learning Promotion and Development, or Bangkok Planetarium, is located on Sukhumvit Road, Khlong-Toei District, Bangkok. It is one of the well-known recreational learning hubs for science, technology, environmental science, astronomy, and space technology via multiple mediums such as permanent exhibitions, semi-permanent exhibitions, interactive and virtual exhibitions, and educational summer camps. All contents and activities available are carefully curated to promote the habit of life-long learning suitable for audiences in all age groups. Founded in 1964, Bangkok Planetarium has been a beacon that has served the public for 60 years as the first Planetarium in Southeast Asia and the first and the largest Planetarium in Thailand. The main learning space is divided into 5 buildings as follows: 1. Building 1 - Bangkok Planetarium: Thailand’s largest planetarium, with 280 seats and a 360-degree full-dome experience, showing celestial objects that can be observed with the naked eye from Thailand and displaying permanent astronomy exhibitions around the hall. 2. Building 2 – Science Exhibitions Building: Several interesting science-related exhibitions include Global Warming, Coding, Mineral Land, Anti-Drugs, Space and Time, Electric City, and The Secret of Life. 3. Building 3—The Green Planet: A newly installed exhibition covers the drastic changes in our global environment due to Global Warming: the rise in temperature, overuse of natural resources, and plastic garbage in our oceans. 4. Building 4 – The Natural Science and Environment Building: Another science-related exhibition building includes Dinosaurs, The Green Treasure, Insects World, Kids City, and The Miracle of Life. 5. Building 5 – Sport Science Building: A sport center provides a standard 50-meter swimming pool, futsal field and tennis courts for members.
