Pha Mee Community is located in Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. It is an Akha hill tribe village that lives along the Thai-Burmese border. There is a grouping of Doi Pha Mi Community Tourism Enterprises, which was established to restore, preserve, and conserve the culture of the Akha ethnic group for the next generation of children and youth, to lead to a model for sustainable creative community based tourism of Akha culture. It is a community amid changes according to the times. It has a culture that combines the traditional Akha way of life and lowland Thai people, which reflects cultural diversity. At present, Pha Mee Community is a vital community tourist attraction in Mae Sai district, surrounded by high mountains with cool weather all year round. Pha Mee Community is full of Akha culture and pristine nature, such as drinking coffee, swing activities, watching the sunrise and sunset, homestay, restaurants, and even trekking to Khun Nam Nang Non mountain. In 2018, the incident of local junior football team named the 13 Wild Boars being trapped in Tham Luang Cave caused Tham Luang–Khun Nam Nang Non National Park to receive a lot of attention from people around the world. Pha Mee Community has received attention from both domestic and international tourists, which has made tourism and cultural economy lively, generating a large amount of income for Pha Mee villagers.
