House of Chandra was born from love and pride, inspired by Nakhon Pathom’s treasured landmarks – including the royal temple Wat Saneha, the ancient Chan tree of Thap Khwan Palace, and the magnificent Sanam Chandra Palace. The café pays homage to the noble legacy of the owner’s great-grandparents: Phra Ya Chantharaphumipitak and Khun Ying, the former Keeper of Sanam Chandra Palace. Their lineage and spirit live on through the cafe’s ambiance, which blends colonial architecture with traditional Thai houses, reminiscent of the King Rama VI era. The result is a uniquely classic Thai–European setting rich in history and charm. Every dish and dessert at House of Chandra is rooted in a story passed down through generations. Each menu is inspired by local places, people, and cultural heritage of Nakhon Pathom.
